The ask
Ridge, a global leader in high-performance engineering environments for motorsport, came to us with an exciting brief: create a video that would kick off their MIA annual awards ceremony. This wasn’t just any intro video – it needed to capture the energy of the room, get the crowd buzzing, and set the tone for the entire evening.
The challenge? A tight turnaround that required us to move at racing speed.
Ridge’s work spans the globe, from race track and driving course design to visualisation, architecture, master planning and operations support. We needed to showcase that breadth and expertise in a way that would immediately grab attention and leave a lasting impression.
The approach
We took a bold creative direction for this project, embracing AI as our primary production tool. Using Midjourney, Nano Banana, and Runway, we crafted an action-packed sequence that delivered both visual punch and rapid execution; the perfect solution for our timeline.
This was actually our first full AI production, and it proved to be an invaluable learning experience. We quickly discovered the strengths and limitations of AI workflows, pushing the technology to create something genuinely exciting.
Our creative vision centred on making this a true showstopper, a highlights reel that would showcase Ridge’s impressive stats and services in a way that felt dynamic and visceral.
From there, we built the energy with the adrenaline rush of a race start, then followed race tracks throughout the piece, highlighting track designs, grandstand buildings, and Ridge’s architectural prowess. Illuminated lines became our visual thread, connecting each element and maintaining that sense of speed and precision.
The outcome
Ridge got exactly what they needed: high-impact, exciting content that delivered genuine wow factor at their awards ceremony. The video successfully captured the innovation and excellence that defines Ridge’s work, while getting the crowd energised and ready to celebrate the best in motorsport engineering.
For us, it was a brilliant opportunity to push our creative boundaries and prove that with the right approach, AI can be a powerful tool for delivering exceptional content.
